The sun came out today, and we went out to watch it go down at Off the Wall. The waves weren't amazing but they were there... and after two days of rain everyone was busting airs at sunset to celebrate.

Frontside airs, backside reverses, layback snaps... and they were landing them all. Didn't see a Sushi Roll though. But the waves were fun and everyone was cashing in. Tricks galore mixed with a few smooth carves and Clare and I got a little glimpse into the future of surfing under the golden light of the setting sun.

It's always a magical time in Hawaii at sunset. I can hear people say ‘Yeah, yeah, whatever' but there's nothing more calming that watching the sun rise and go down. And when surfers spend their whole year travelling this is the one constant - the sun. They surf when it rises, and when it sets...ahhh, Nameste bra.
