Watch: Jaws // Thanksgiving Swell
"A huge swell (21 feet at 20 seconds) hit the Hawaiian shores late on Thanksgiving Day. The next morning we woke up to huge and crazy conditions at Jaws. First wave of the day Kai Lenny fell on a sixty footer, then went back out for more. Albee Layer proved once again that even on the trickiest and sketchiest days out at Jaws that he can get still get barrelled.
"Less than ten waves were paddled into during the session. Strong winds came up and it became too hard to paddle. 15-year old 'Baby' Steve Roberson got whipped into the biggest wave of the day - I'm claiming it's the biggest wave ever ridden by a 15-year old.
"From Matthieu Extebarne foiling to Kai Lenny taking waves on the head. There was so many crazy moments during this swell.
"Land footage from Slater Neborsky and aerial footage from myself."

What is that the dude is magically holding at 3:14?
Also, bravo to that young fella. 15! How’d he talk his folks into that!!
Hand paddles, see: https://www.swellnet.com/news/swellnet-dispatch/2023/01/04/austin-kalama...
It might've been a big wave, but it definitely wasn't his first. Steve Roberson first surfed Jaws at 10-years old. Third gen Jaws surfer: old man is Kaleo Roberson, grandad John Roberson
Ahhh rippa. Thank you.
That grom got a bright future!
I do believe the hand paddle guy actually clapped his hands in the cymbal claim as predicted buy some comic in SN comment of the year once.
Great film, interesting camera/equipment angles, all those pulled back panoramic shots give it a different perspective. No one comes off the top like Kai Lenny.
Kai was top to bottom like it was a 6 foot beach break. Incredible.
Fantastic work.
Really nice cinematography, great music, different angles.
What’s not to like?
The foil? Looks pretty silly. Only a minor complaint.
