Next level surfing. Albee is incredible. (I think he's normally on an 8'2 or 8'4.)
Music was an abomination.

I was just waiting for the first comment on the soundtrack! Not sure if that will go down well with the middle of the auditory bell curve of this Swellnet brethren......

Slipknot are pretty 'middle of the bell curve', you can even understand the lyrics.
Wish I had the drive (and skill) and to take on those waves; awesome to watch and surf vicariously will suffice.

Yeah. Slipknot are almost pop/metal.Although not quite in the pop realm of Linken Park or the Offspring.

haha, totally mattlock - like Korn, bahaha. For all its naughty-little-boy imagery and double-kick, all nu metal may as well be Evanescence. This Slipknot song sounds like I Ran by Flock of Seagulls, played by too-cool 16 year-olds in white-trash working-class burbs (like des moines). I like it! The inspired editing and epic footage makes it work well.

Intense viewing.
IMHO the music suited the clip.
Bungan33Friday, 7 Jul 2023 at 10:25am
While the tunes are not my preference I totally agree! Violent and intense - like the wave.

Yep, matched well.

The music reminded me of the old Hawaii 9 Series. I still pull those movies out to watch every now and again. Cant beat Metal to Hawaiian Surf clips IMO.

Hawaii 94. All time classic
GONAD_MANFriday, 7 Jul 2023 at 7:07pm
100% agree Nick. Definitely my favourite also. :)

Definitely got some plums!

I haven't bothered to watch any Jaws sessions for a while. Glad to see this one 'cause some of those paddle ins are pretty, bloody, impressive!!

He times the takeoff to perfection, flatter rocker quad, standing early or just before it pitches. Board seems to traverse - but looks jittery on the bumps. Feel dirty saying that about probably my favourite Jaws surfer to watch.

Looks like he's got his equipment nailed for those conditions out there.

The absence of ultra slow motion gave a much better perspective of the intensity of the waves and how critical the surfing was
