Watch: Greenmount Monday
Unfortunate swell dodging from the Woz, as Snapper pumped for weeks prior to the Gold Coast Pro, then fell silent as the waiting period began, only to once again fire up as the circus left town.
Filmed by Craig Halstead - Surf On Mars - Monday morning, it's not necessarily a FOMO-inducing clip, though there is the hypnotic effect of watching multiple lines reeling as the ants in the hive go about their business.

Mother Nature’s sense of humour
'Twas even better yesterday. Great angle from Big Groyne looking up the line.
Fuck, that looks fun. Even with the crowds!
How's the empty one in the foreground at 2:40. I don't understand that break, but how is that happening with no one on it?
wowsers that's good...crazy with those short period swells how some waves hit that bank and go nuts and others are just dribble. Giving the KS wave pool a run for its money for sure
The Cooly curse continues to plague the Wozzle
Those dropins look so much fun
Does anyone actually work up there?
Even Huey hates the wozzle.
The saturation of Snapper/Greenmount clips of late has been insane.
Government funded tube riding sessions or did everyone take a sickie...
I dont think anybody works or goes to school at cooly .. or any where theres a wave on the NSW north coast ...grommets . mustachioed freaky poeple and cofee swillers galore
Monday is Hospo day folks if you haven't noticed. The good people who work nights and weekends serving us beers etc (thousands of them on the Goldie) who pray for a Mon/Tue swell.
shift workers, tube seekers, zen stylists rejoice
I got some beauties at Noosa Monday. There were heavenly rawbows too. Delightful day.
what's a rawbow?
not enough rosin?
What a Fcking circus.
Fck that shit.
Yeah , well , these barrels would have been outside of the contest area anyway.
Morning ritual:
Into the office at 7am. Log onto swellnet. Checkout Greenmount. Can never comprehend:
i) How often that joint fires
ii) How many are in the lineup at any one time
iii) How dropping in on someone is fair game

(Posted earlier re leggies, but re dropping-in, same mentality applies, respect for locals and elders at 35:00, highlights at 40:00, and at 43:15:
"'i'm deeper, it's definitely mine'... what thing is reinforcing that as the way I wonder?"
"it's whatever was reinforcing those exact same people to buy all of the toilet paper...
realistically that's what the lineup is now.. the line up is so crowded, 'I can't keep track of how many waves you caught or that guy caught or where everybody is in the rotation, screw it, I'm just gonna take mine', that's what's happening")
Cheers for the link basesix, I'll give it a listen. The landscape is sure changing, maybe I'm living too much in the past??
Dropping in isn't a phenomenon exclusive to the gold coast. I'm overseas, surfed a good 4ft point break this morning and each set wave had upto 4 or 5 people dropping in.
Yeah you're right juegas; I guess it's a case of number of people now surfing vs number of available waves in some locations = fuck everyone, I'll take what I can get.
What pisses me off, and I see it at my local, is blow ins who think they can surf intimidating and dropping in on kids who have no other choice but to submit to these pricks.
Looks like a Petri dish
Classic
Shout out to the legend at 1:38 in the background with the yellow board. Total class
Can we get one of those boats in Victoria please Dan?.
I was just thinking I would never bother surfing in that zoo.
Then I saw someone who surfs at my level get a 7 second barrel and I thought "Maybe..."
I guess if that happens to you once, you live in hope for months after that.
It’s happening on the surfcoast except we get two wave set every 5/10 minutes with 40 crew !
