Lack of photos

the new interface is way much better but....i do agree where have all the photos goooone? I used to spend ages trawling through them all.....searching for my fav breaks...

yeah i also want some photos of bodyboarding. and photos of mandurah because it chops up perth metro beachies, there shit and mandurah has way more to offer the bodyboarding and surfing community. MANDURAHHHH

All the BB stuff has gone over to Fluidzone (http://www.fluidzone.com/). From memory there's been a few Mandurah Sessions in there.

And to Toad and Egg....we're working on consistent daily photos in the reports. Sorry that they haven't gone up lately but they will in the future.

Actually, there's a javascript bug in the system that's preventing surf reports with only one image from appearing (the pics, that is). Reports with multiple images are working OK (ie Manly). Should have a fix up on the site ASAP.

For me it's not so much the daily photos (which there does seam to be less of for the sunny coast these days) but it's more so the swellnet sessions.

They used to be posted under the daily report and it was good to have a flick through after checking the report. Now you have to go looking for them in the galleries page and when you find them there's no captions like before, which made it a bit easier to find something you wanted to see. Now there's just a thumbnail preview and are organised by "top rated" and "best of the best" with the only caption now being "by Stunet".

With this new layout how do you find the latest pics?

Now if I don't have a look in the galleries page for a few days I find myself clicking on photos I've already clicked on and end up looking at the same page a few times... Maybe that's just me and my terrible short term memory..;)

Anyway mate, that's the only negetive point I have on your awesome new site (and it's not really a big deal). This new site is much better, there's heaps more to look at now and these forums are a great addition.

No Pete, this is exactly the sort of criticism we're looking for.

As it is the latest Sessions (i.e pics) are in the Session module which will always sit under the Wave of the Day on the homepage. The latest Session is the top left and they move across the page as newer ones get posted (i.e oldest is bottom right).

From the daily reports you can also click on 'Galleries' that takes you straight to them.

That's how it is now, but Ben and I were talking about Sessions layout yesterday and resolved to make them more user friendly. This will happen very quickly.

Just checked the home page, that's much easier...
The Swellnet link in my favorites takes me to my local report so I haven't looked at the home page for a long time.
