live web cams not working
Nah something has happened, no cams for me either
Cams all working fine. Are you on desktop or mobile, browser or App?
Cams were all out for me. just came back on. Safari on MacBook.
They were working for me, but I just rebooted the surfcam server to be sure.. may have been a gremlin in the system. Good to see it's back for you now Mattlock.
Any reason the Narrabeen cam has gone? Also Bondi hasn’t worked for ages.
Hi,
When is the Narrabeen cam coming back online? I realise it went down when work was getting done to the surf club but the CW cam is back up and has been working for months now.
We're actually in the Sydney region next week getting all of this attended to.
I feel like there's an OnlyFans joke in there somewhere...
So how did the Sydney cam fixes go? When can we expect them working?
My guys spent most of last week in Cronulla, so that's all done (three upgrades, one new cam). Also visited Maroubra to inspect a DOA cam installed last year (have ordered replacement). Also had a day on the Northern Beaches teeing up data links for Narrabeen and a bunch of other spots, which will be finished in the coming weeks. Getting there!
Awesome, thanks!
Narrbeen cam not coming up with the technical fault message but still unable to use it 26/03
can't get surf cams working on both desktop and mobile, is there a server issue?
Back now, gremlins evicted.
with the demise of Coastalwatch I thought I would support a local surf forecasting company thus subscribed to Swellnet 19/03, only once has the Narabeen camera been working in this time period & Swellnet only having Manly/ Queenscliff as the other cams on the northern beaches you can not get an accurate idea of what is happening specifically due to south swells not getting in to Many/ Queenscliff plus yesterays surf report was 3-4 when it was pumping 4-6 sorry guys but unsubscribing & trying elsewhere
Yep, it's pretty piss poor that the Narrabeen cam is still down. Coastalwatch / Surfline has had theirs back up and running for at least 6 months. I was told a couple of months ago that the Sydney ones were all getting worked on but still nothing. As a paying subscriber I find it pretty shit that you can't even get a camera up and running. How long until it's back?
Having trouble with the cams , 5 seconds of streaming , then it freezes & If I'm lucky wait a minute for it to stream again. Happens from cabarita north & all the gold coast cams , byron yamba work fine. Never had any probs until a few months back around tc. Lucas time .Any ideas why?
So how's that Narrabeen cam coming along? We were told it would be fixed months ago. And no replies to the last time it was asked. Piss poor.
yep i agree, the reno was blamed for narrabeen but bloody seppo surfline have got all there cameras up,now there are no nb cams online at all.Why am i subscribing?

Manly and Queensy are down at the moment as they're doing works on the building today, so the power is out.

Sorry I missed your last comment eel, we don't get notified about 'em so they occasionally slip through the net (especially if I am away).
Narrabeen surf club still doesn't have NBN. Why is the CW/SL cam working there? They have hooked up a temporary 4G connection, which (until very recently) has been prohibitively expensive.
We have since sourced a data connection for Narrabeen, however the other hold up at our end are parts - we've got several large deliveries of hardware (right across the spectrum, not just cameras) that are massively delayed in shipping. Why? Because of a shortage of parts (mainly chipsets) with the hardware manufacturers. For example, we placed a large order for new modems back in November last year, and every month since then they've told us "one more month". Kinda frustrating when we've put down a 50% payment for these goods, but our hands are tied.
Ordinarily, if we had backup surfcams available, I'd send one down and hook that up. However, our camera (including mounting bracket, cabling) was completely removed to allow the surf club to do major renovations, so we have to do a completely new installation and I want to use our new equipment for it. The previous cameras was more than six years old and at the end of its life.
So, the latest I have is that the cameras will be here last week of June. We'll come down in early July to finish off the installation.
Related, but slightly OT, just today I received an email from one of our NBN wholesalers, who have advised that orders for HFC connections have been delayed another month, because of "a supply shortage of HFC hardware, which remains ongoing". So, tough luck if you're looking to connect to the internet and you can only get HFC - it'll be months until you're online.
Same goes for other industries. Building a house or doing home renovations? There's a massive shortage of building timber. Looking for a car? Mate of mine went to order a new ute last week, and has been told they won't have any stock until October.
Covid-19 has had a massive effect on the supply of goods and services that we're used to getting with a quick turnaround. The new normal is hard to adjust to.
Power just came back on at Manly.
Argh! Looks like Coolum died overnight. When it rains, etc..
Is it raining in Coolum?
Friggin downpour across the Sunny Coast.
Hi guys seems our Vicco cams have been down over the last few days…
All fine here, what device are you trying to watch on? What kind of browser?
I’m watching on my iPhone through safari…the Torquay cam is going straight to timeout, no vision or ads.
Can you try the Chrome browser please?
So how about that Narrabeen cam? It's been about a year now. Houses can get knocked down and rebuilt faster than it takes you guys to put up a camera...
Mate, we can't travel at the moment, haven't been able to for ages. Got a whole bunch of brand new cams sitting in the office waiting to be installed. Frustrating as hell from my end as I've already paid for the gear months ago and it's not being used.
Just out of curiosity has Nth Narrabeen cam ever functioned or they
are really elite and say no to cams. Im from the south of Sydney and
will never go there just curious.
Our Narra cam was first installed in 2005, and ran for 15 years until we experienced issues switching to NBN last year, and then the surf club went through a major refurbishment which delayed things. We also experienced hardware supply issues earlier this year too.
We are now through all of those hoops but can’t get down to install anything.
cant get cams to work anywhere. Have you any issues or is it my pc??
Cheers
