Looking for a lesser known shaper in Torquay
Are you looking for a board, or wanting to learn some shaping skills?
Cory Graham.....is one of the best young passionate craftsman shapers in Torquay......great personal service also....dads a glassing legend...ya won't get better!!
Well, there's an endoresment if I ever saw one!
anything I can do to encourage young guys into shaping and designing.....seems like there are so few now ..world wide its looking pretty bleak for more young designers/surfer shapers and s/bd workers....could be a bit biased as have known Russell and barb for 40+ years!!
great to see their son firing up!!!
I've heard good things about Vanda's boards. Haven't tried one out personally but some mates have had a few shaped by him and they reckon they go great, also said he's really helpful and easy to work with.
I believe Shyama Buttenshaw (Shyama Boards) is making boards. Great young surfer, and his boards look pretty good.
surfed with him ( shyama ) for the first time the other week at a fun little bank ... was a pretty polite young fella too ( for a pro ) ..... kinda made me feel old though , since i remember surfing with his old man years ago ... didn't realise he shaped .... he liked the look of my board ( i thought he was just being kind , as i was struggling from a SOLID session the day before ) .... future looks bright Brutus , if he's anything to go by !?

Big tick for Dave Boyd. Imperial Surfboards Ocean Grove... makes a great board.
Cory and Russell - great people, very good at their art.
