interesting indo has announced special arrangements for unvaccinated

new rules, 5 day quarrantine for vaccinated

7 days quarrantine for unvaccinated

gonna be real interesting if fuckwit dan gets his way (ive given up on the somewhat flippant and facetious dictator dan... and just decided he is a supreme fuckwit...) if he gets his way making boosters mandatory...

will returning ozzies soon need to be 4 monthly 'boosted' to count as vaccinated?

could get real messy... not easy getting a booster in indo and other places...

sypkan's picture
sypkan's picture
sypkan Wednesday, 2 Feb 2022 at 1:32pm

and these are the things some of you thick and compliant minions need to think about... whilst blindly 'following the science' ...that often doesn't remotely follow the science...

making boosters mandatory in one domain might make sense... but there are always much wider, far reaching implications...

same with child vaccines, it may be 'voluntary' now, but if 70 - 80% of unecessarily scared into submission parents get on board with child vaccinatiins... how long until that comes mandatory too?

not bloody long!

then a 4 monthly school booster program...

becomes 3 monthly...

this dog chasing tail desperation needs nipping in the bud real quick

at a minimum, the 'bureaucratic inertia' in australia has got some real strong momentum atm

...heading in a very different direction to the rest of the world...

time to be asking why?

should we be?

and what the hell for?

a little pause for reflection seems prudent at this juncture, rather than going the normal australian way, of ful over the top indulgance nanny state bullshit...

because winding it back, is always harder than rolling it out...

boy have we seen that to be true!!!

CORRESPONDENCE| VOLUME 22, ISSUE 1, P16, JANUARY 01, 2022
Transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 among fully vaccinated individuals

Carlos Franco-Paredes
Published:January, 2022DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/S1473-3099(21)00768-4
PlumX Metrics

Vaccine effectiveness studies have conclusively demonstrated the benefit of COVID-19 vaccines in reducing individual symptomatic and severe disease, resulting in reduced hospitalisations and intensive care unit admissions.1 However, the impact of vaccination on transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 needs to be elucidated. A prospective cohort study in the UK by Anika Singanayagam and colleagues2 regarding community transmission of SARS-CoV-2 among unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals provides important information that needs to be considered in reassessing vaccination policies. This study showed that the impact of vaccination on community transmission of circulating variants of SARS-CoV-2 appeared to be not significantly different from the impact among unvaccinated people.2, 3 The scientific rationale for mandatory vaccination in the USA relies on the premise that vaccination prevents transmission to others, resulting in a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”.4 Yet, the demonstration of COVID-19 breakthrough infections among fully vaccinated health-care workers (HCW) in Israel, who in turn may transmit this infection to their patients,5 requires a reassessment of compulsory vaccination policies leading to the job dismissal of unvaccinated HCW in the USA. Indeed, there is growing evidence that peak viral titres in the upper airways of the lungs and culturable virus are similar in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.2,3,5–7 A recent investigation by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of an outbreak of COVID-19 in a prison in Texas showed the equal presence of infectious virus in the nasopharynx of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.6 Similarly, researchers in California observed no major differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in terms of SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in the nasopharynx, even in those with proven asymptomatic infection.7 Thus, the current evidence suggests that current mandatory vaccination policies might need to be reconsidered, and that vaccination status should not replace mitigation practices such as mask wearing, physical distancing, and contact-tracing investigations, even within highly vaccinated populations. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(21)00768-4/fulltext.

Far out.

It's not hard, right?

The vaccines are very effective at reducing hospitalisation and death.

So the more people who take them, the better.

Now we can mandate, or not mandate, or whatever. But take a look at where we're at. High vaccination rates, fully open and very low deaths and hospitalisation. The mandates worked.

Of course over in the hell hole that is the US of A people are loosing their shit about mandates. Culturally they have no concept of the idea of 'making a small sacrifice for the greater good'.so stop sharing articles and studies from over there, they're fucking cooked.

In Aus, 90% of the population don't give a shit and rightly so. Of that 90%, 38% have already had their booster. The remaining 52% just need the boot up the arse to go out and get it, which they'll do happily, that's what the mandates will do.

Maybe another 2 or 3 % of the population will kick up a fuss, but will eventually fold.

We'll then maintain a high level of vaccinations, reduce needless deaths and cost of hospitalisation, and move the fuck on with our lives.

This won't happen forever either, only the flat earthers and chemtrail specialists are banging on about 3 month boosters till eternity. Those fuckwits were the same people saying we'd never be able to leave Australia, or leave lockdowns. And haven't they gone quiet about that?

Good job Burlsack, thanks for looking that up for me. I don't believe science mate, that's not how it works, it's not a belief system. Seems however you float between beliefs such as 'the vaccine works but we don't need mandates', to 'the vaccine does nothing', to 'covid is a con' and finally to 'all of modern medicine is useless if you eat well'.

So, a PM from Finland says because of the vaccines they're in a good position to reopen. But, she also goes clubbing and lies about it while covid positive? Sounds cool. Let's listen to her.

Well guess what, Australia opened up months ago (well, the important states did), and we have a higher vax rate so we're in a better position than Finland.

Also - pretty well known the vaccine loses effectiveness after 3-6 months. Interested to know what they're strategy is there. Maybe they've prepped their healthcare system and have decided to accept more deaths and hospitalisations? Or maybe they've just caved to selfish whingers?

Either way, good on them. now they can serve alcohol at restaurants until 8pm!
