Very sad day for the local community
The last time I was down that way this time last year there were maybe 50 or more tourists at the cliff edge taking selfies, having jumped over clearly sign posted safety fences. It’s quite sickening seeing bus after bus of tourists empty out along that coast, the place is totally over run. We also went to see where there Sherbrook River meets the sea, man that is some seriously dangerous water.
Evolution should be allowed to take its course here.

yeah an idiot falls in the water , the SES/SLSC , should not have sent that boat into the surf.......incredibly repected was the Dad and Son.....but a bit out of their depth in waves .......looks like some of the tow surfers down there will now offer and join the SES/SLSC , as they have skis and the knowledge of one of the most treacherous coasts in the World....Locals very unhappy with tourists behaviour!
Agree Sharkman an absolute tragedy I was wondering why they were not on skis to start with one inside one out side as a minimum.
should never have taken the boat into the surf , a Jetski should be ferrying people to the boat outside .....looks like this will happen from now on!

Very sad. Two experienced life savers drowned rescuing a drowning tourist.
