Surf Coast Wind Incorrect (Aireys BOM station has known issues)
Yeah we have a dozen weather stations in the office that we'll be rolling out soon. Difficult part is finding ideal sites.
Awesome - lots of wind/downwind/kite/wing etc that’ll be very happy with a well placed wind station around here. Again the Winki cam location looks perfect for an early trial ;-)
Looks like you’re also using the Aireys BOM wind obs for the Torquay current wind report?
They’ve had problems in recent weeks showing wrong wind direction and strength. Time for Swellnet to invest in better wind readings on the surf coast? Your Winki cam seems to be in a good spot for that? Just saying … surf line now has live wind on its jan juc cam ;-)
